It is critical for IT professionals to evolve into more valuable strategic partners to the business. Dale Carnegie is partnering with AWC Twin Cities and bringing this preview workshop of current project work, research, and the tools that have differentiated successful organizations in this area.

Specifically we will learn about our ability as IT professionals to:

  • Gain credibility and visibility for our teams & our projects

  • Generate interest and buy-in through the way we dialogue about our work and create a context for our solutions

  • Implement proven principles for building cooperation and presenting our recommendations

Speaker Bio

Patrick Finnegan is the Market Director for Dale Carnegie's healthcare and IT and sectors. During his time with Dale Carnegie, Patrick has won multiple awards including the 2008 Rookie Club Sales Award, 2009 and 2011 National Sales Award and 2010 Government Achievement Award.

Graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in criminal justice, Patrick found himself working as an Account Manager for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories. While there, he strengthened his leadership skills and was honored with the 2002 Wyeth-Ayerst District Sales Trainer Award. Prior to joining Dale Carnegie, Patrick was an Acute Account Manager for GE Healthcare IT. A shining star at GE, Patrick was awarded the 2005 GE Healthcare Service Sales Revenue Award and Ambulatory Monitoring Revenue Award, and was certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.

In his free time, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, taking trips to the Boundary Waters and listening to 80's rock. Voted by the office as most likely to be caught impersonating movie stars, Patrick perfects his acting talents by working with the Brave New Workshop Improvisation group.

AWC Twin Cities will provide a light snack and bottled water. Deli items may be purchased from the store and brought into the room.
